Meet The Team

Leads the largest Hispanic organization on campus with 90+ active members, manages an executive board of 16 directors, composes three National Reports highlighting chapter successes, and fosters a safe environment for Hispanics in STEM to grow personally and professionally.

Acts as the main point of contact for sponsoring companies and developing relationships with industry partners.

Supports and works with the internal connections within Penn State such as other organizations, speficic colleges involvement fairs, etc.

Handles and maintains SHPE’s financial records, reimburses members, supplies/buys food for events, orders polos for the Executive Board & National Conference, applies for funding/grants, works with Conference & Fundraising Directors, and authorizes club expenditures.

Coordinates logistics of meetings/events and maintains records to support the board and general body members. 

Manages all social media and webpage for SHPE, promotes events, and collaborates with every director on the board.

Oversees academic advancement of all SHPE members through activities such as study nights and study-a-thon.

Facilitates the MentorSHPE program while staying connected with alumni and SHPE’s network.

Plans fundraising strategies and resources for SHPE to invest within its various programs and operations allowing SHPE to accomplish its organizational mission.

Coordinates and manages travel and lodging arrangements for designated members attending the annual National Conference.

Plans and executes professional, cultural, and social initiatives for international students within SHPE, fostering inclusion, professional development, and mentorship opportunities.

Connects members with community service and a variety of outreach opportunities catered towards giving back to the Penn State/Centre County and overall community.

Empowers women in STEM by fostering professional growth, mentorship, and community.

Organizes and leads engaging events that strengthen community, fosters collaboration with partner organizations, and creates spaces for professional and cultural connection.
